Of course, techniques learnt can be adapted for Excel reports too. But this session is all about Power BI and crafting effective variance visuals for your reports..

What to expect
In this session, we’ll explore smarter ways to visualise variance in Power BI, moving beyond the basics to create clear, impactful reports.

We’ll cover a range of techniques, from using native visuals and customising tables, to enhancing dashboards with SVG’s. You’ll also learn how to incorporate visual-level calculations to drive dynamic, context-aware variance displays.

Whether you’re building executive dashboards or operational reports, this session will give you practical ideas to make your variance visuals more effective and meaningful.

In this session, Jess will share some examples of “Power BI style” interactive visualisations that are created using dynamic arrays.

If you want to give users the ability to interact graphically with your data but you don’t want to learn DAX or Power BI, this session is for you.

Dynamic array formulas have opened up lots of new opportunities for us to design interactivity into our graphs – for example, to allow our users to filter, segment or cluster data as they want to see it.

The session will contain practical examples of dashboard components and will feature a mix of older and newer Excel functionality; expect Slicers, Checkboxes and LAMBDAs, along with some graphing tricks to get the most out of them. Whether you are new to dynamic arrays or already experienced with them, there should be something in this session for you.
