What to expect
What's the first thing you do when you create a new workbook?

If the answer is something other than "Save it", then you may be wasting time. We all know that Excel has many options and settings. Many of these are designed to make your life easier, but not everyone takes advantage of them.

This session will cover some easy, but often under-utilised ways that you can customise Excel to save yourself from repeating tasks. Setting up default templates for new workbooks and worksheets can be a great time-saver, and we'll take the guess work out of how to use them.

Cell Styles are a great way to add consistency and flexibility to your workbooks. We'll show how to set them up and give you some great examples that you can start using right away. VBA is still alive and well, and we'll show some examples of how to use the Personal Macro Workbook to automate common tasks.
