Excel GOTCHAS and How To Overcome Them | Alan Murray

Details

In this meetup, your friendly organiser himself (Alan Murray) will be presenting on Excel GOTCHAS and how to overcome them.

This is a change to the scheduled program. Some of you attending may have noticed this. I thought I would draft myself in as I am easy to remove if needed. We will get the originally scheduled event booked for later in the year.

There are many surprising little booby traps in Excel, which even seasoned Excel users get caught by. We would ideally like to avoid these.

An animated series in the UK in the 1980's taught us to 'Don't open that Trapdoor'. But sometimes it is left open, so we fall in and we need to know how to get ourselves out.

This session will demonstrate numerous GOTCHAS and how to avoid or overcome them, including:

a. Simple pitfalls
b. Data Validation traps
c. Power Query catches
d. Some Excel formula naughtiness
e. Tense moments with Tables
f. Copying craziness and pasting perils

This is an in-person only event in London. It is not recorded or streamed online.

It will start at 18:00 sharp. Please arrive beforehand to enter the building, grab a drink, and get settled in time.

I look forward to seeing you there.
