London 20 & 30s Community | The Great Friendship Project

As part of the Mayor of London's Community Weekend celebrations, we're making the most of the warmer days with one of our final summer walks of the year.

Yep and for this latest free Sunday walk, we’ll be heading back to one of the most popular hiking spots in the capital, Hampstead Heath in North London.

As always before heading off on the hike, you'll be allocated a group/team for an initial mix of fun and light-hearted games, designed to help you break the ice and get to know your fellow walkers a little better.

After the games and everyone is warmed up for walk, we’ll then set off on our 2-3 hour hike across the heath.

Along the way, we will wander past the stately home, Kenwood House and the famous Parliament Hill viewing point overlooking London.

We will then ramble through the stunning ancient woodland, Highgate Wood before finally before ending up at a pub in Muswell Hill, where you'll be able to relax, have a drink and chat with those you've met on the walk.

WHERE/WHEN WE WILL MEET

On Wednesday 17th September, we're excited to be hosting our latest FREE Board Games Night, exclusively for 20s and 30s.

Yep, that's right - we're back and as always, we've booked out a big private space in central London and we’ve got a fantastic collection of some of the most popular games that you’ll be able to choose from.

From classics like Exploding Kittens and Uno, social deduction games like Secret Hitler and Werewolf, to party games like Codenames and Chameleon, you’re sure to find something you’ll love.

On top of this, you're also welcome to bring your own games that you love or have been excited to play with a group, providing they are short, easy to learn and accessible games.

Best of all, over the course of the evening, you'll be able to mix around, meet lots of other 20s and 30s whilst playing a range of different games.

So if you're looking to play some games, meet new people, and have a laugh then we'd love to have you join us for this.

WHERE/WHEN

It's back! On Friday 19th September, we're excited to be hosting one of our most unique and original socials... our latest Pub Battleships Race.

As the name suggests, this unique team game is an exciting hybrid of a pub crawl and the classic board game, Battleships.

The game will be played on a virtual board consisting of 25 pubs, all within very short walking distance of each other in the heart of Angel.

To kick off the night, you will allocated a group and designated onto either the red or the blue team, with every group strategically placing a battleship on the board.

Like the classic game of Battleships - the aim of the game is to sink all the other team's ships, before they sink yours.

To do this, your team will need to visit pubs and strategically “fire” at your opponents' ships by ordering just at least 2 drinks between your whole team (soft drinks included).

Over the course of the game, you will be able to monitor the live board to track your progress and keep a watchful eye on your competitors.

If there is no clear winner when the time runs out, the team with the most hits will be crowned the champions.

But of course, it is not just about the game - the evening will also provide you with a chance to connect with lots of like-minded 20s and 30s, whilst enjoying an unforgettable start to the weekend.

WHERE/WHEN

It’s that time again! With September here, we're hugely excited to be hosting our latest Social Pub Quiz, exclusively for 20s and 30s.

Yep that's right, every month we host latest our very special creative and quirky pub quiz in Central London, just for our community.

And as always, our crack team of quizmasters have concocted a range of entertaining and social quiz rounds, each designed to challenge your wit and intelligence with a range of fun and fascinating questions.

And we'll also be throwing in some fun team games designed to test your speed, creativity and teamwork - with previous quizzes featuring everything from crafty challenges, poetry duels to Marmalade Sandwich time trials!

Best of all, we have some amazing prizes up for grabs and so don't miss out on what promises to be a memorable afternoon of quizzing, socialising, and friendly competition.

Unfortunately as the pub can only fit a limited number of us in for the quiz and so as always, places will be offered on a first come, first serve basis.
