On Friday 2nd October, we're hugely excited to be heading into the City of London for our very first "Alien Escape" Pub Race 👽

Yep, you read that right. Aliens have landed in London and after UK intelligence services briefly captured one, it somehow escaped.

Reports suggest it’s now hiding in a pub somewhere in the City, and authorities are calling on members of the public to help them track it down 🕵️

Working in teams, you’ll need to race from pub to pub across the City, following the alien’s approximate location on a live map.

As the tracker gradually narrows down the search area, you’ll need to race to find it before others - as the three teams to find the alien will earn a huge share of the reward bounty.

But there are a couple of plot twists… 🤫

To avoid blowing your cover or arousing suspicion, if you enter the wrong pub or bar, at least two members of your team must buy a drink before continuing your search.

And finding the alien isn’t your only mission - as there's also been strange sightings, intercepted transmissions and pieces of extraterrestrial technology have been reported across the City.

Along the way, you’ll complete classified field assignments - from decoding alien messages to gathering photographic evidence of the invasion 🚀

Each one you successfully complete will add to your team's bounty, so speed alone won’t guarantee victory.

And at the end of the race, we’ll gather at our final venue, count the scores and reward the night’s best alien hunters 🏆

WHERE/WHEN

Autumn has arrived, and on Sunday 4th October... we’re making the most of the season’s changing colours with our latest Social Walk and Pub Trip 🍁

Yep and for this latest Sunday walk, we’ll be heading back to one of the most popular hiking spots in the capital, Hampstead Heath in North London 🌳

As always before heading off on the hike, you'll be allocated a group/team for an initial mix of fun and light-hearted games, designed to help you break the ice and get to know your fellow walkers a little better.

After the games and everyone is warmed up for walk, we’ll then set off on our 2-3 hour hike across the heath 🍂

Along the way, we will wander past the stately home, Kenwood House and the famous Parliament Hill viewing point overlooking London.

We will then cut through to Highgate Wood, exploring its winding woodland trails beneath a canopy of ancient oak, hornbeam and holly trees.

And of course, no walk before finally before ending up at a pub in Muswell Hill, where you can grab a drink or something to eat and continue chatting with the people you’ve met along the way 🍻

It should a fun and social Sunday afternoon - although always, we will be having to cap numbers for this event and so do make sure you nab your place as soon as you can!

WHERE/WHEN WE WILL MEET

We don’t do boring Wednesdays, and so on 7th October - we’re hugely excited to be hosting our latest activity night to spice up your midweek 🕵️

For this latest Wednesday adventure, we’ll be heading to Omescape near the Southbank for an adrenaline-fuelled evening of fun.

As always, we’ll kick things off with social drinks at one of our favourite pubs to give you a chance to get to know the people you’ll be teaming up with before we head over to the experience.

If you haven’t been to Omescape before, it’s one of the few places in London where you can try your hand at an immersive Virtual Reality escape room.

If you haven’t tried one before, like a normal escape room - you and your team will hunt for clues, crack puzzles, complete challenges and race to complete your mission before the clock runs out ⏱️

The difference is that VR puts you right inside the mission.

And Omescape has a range of worlds from which to choose, whether you fancy escaping a haunted house, travelling through space or trying to break out of prison.

Best of all, whilst a night at Omescape VR would typically cost around £39 per person, we’ve secured an exclusive discount, bringing the whole evening down to just £22.85pp 💛

WHERE/WHEN

To start the event, we will be meeting at a pub for social drinks from 7:30pm.

However, we'd ask you arrive no later than 8:15pm, so that we can head over to the venue together in time for the start of the experience.

On Friday 9th October, we'll be kicking off the weekend with a bit of competitive social fun at one of London’s most unique activity bars 🎯

Yep, we love our midweek activity nights - but to mix things up, we'll be bringing them to the weekend with a night of virtual clay pigeon shooting at Clays 🍻

And as always - the evening will start with some social drinks at a nearby pub, so you can meet and connect with your fellow 20s and 30s, before heading over for the main event of the night.

And if you’ve never heard of Clays before - the venue features a number of private booths, each with their own set of realistic “rifles” and tracking technology - designed to simulate a realistic clay shooting experience.

And we'll be enjoying 90 minutes of fast-paced shooting action, competing against each other in their range of multiplayer games - each designed to test your accuracy, speed and strategy 🐦💥

Your scores will be tracked over the course of the evening and we'll be competing for the glory of being the greatest sharpshooters of the group.

It truly is one of the most enjoyable and best-value activity bars in London at just £11.35pp - and so well worth giving a go if you've never been before 💛
