This is our monthly event for those looking for value investing opportunities. Even newbies can join and learn financial concepts through immersion. 6.30 pm - Arrivals and networking
6.50 pm - Intro, and discussion on the performance we had this year, and the lessons we have learned. When the “tide goes out” value investors tend to do better. Is that true?
7.20 pm - Alex Stuart will present Zytronic PLC, as an undervalued company. It is a strong going concern, with a strong balance sheet, no debt, and a history of earnings. Currently, it trades at below liquidation value due to hidden assets on the balance sheet.
7.45 pm - Dimitrios Koutsoumpos will present some valuations in retail stocks (see related watchlist). The sentiment is very bad for the sector, and their capital-light and unpredictable nature can make them dangerous. Despite the aggressiveness, there are factors which suggest that some of them could be a good contrarian bet.
8.10 pm - Open discussion on best value investing sources. What do you think about this list of the 10 Best Blogs for Value Investing? Vote for them and leave your thoughts in the comments section of the blog.
