Musical memories from a Parisian café.

Relive the vibrant swing scene of the 20s, 30s & 40s. Musical tales of Eloise Defleur, brought to life by Airlie Scott and her talented band, with a swinging blend of French chanson, gypsy jazz, blues, and American songbook classics popular in Paris from the roaring twenties through occupation to Liberation at the end of the second world war.

THE BAND
Jazz vocalist Airlie Scott (Pronto Swing, UK, Europe, Westend, Broadway) plays Eloise Defleur joined by The Hot Jazz Vagabonds. In this special line-up for Edinburgh, enjoy the melodic & atmospheric playing of accordionist Pete Watson (Marama Cafe Band, Communicado Theatre, Edinburgh), alongside a rhythm section to die for! Highly sought-after hot club guitarist David Ahmed (The Hot Club de Londres, Quecumbar Allstars, Cafe Marama Band), acclaimed guitarist Barrington Meyer (Doors Alive, Hot Club of New Cross, Helena Jesse Sextet) and wonderful Alan Gibson (Soul Immigrants) on Double bass. Band members have played venues such as Ronnie Scott’s,Glastonbury Festival, Brasserie Zedel, Crazy Coqs, Cafe de Paris, Bull’s Head Barnes, Royal National Theatre, Paris L’Olympia, Isle of Wight Festival, Lovely Days Festival, Twinwood Festival, Django in the Bay Festival and more.
