About us
✨ Welcome! We’re glad you’re here. ✨
If you’re Childfree by Choice and looking for genuine friendship, continuity, and a real sense of belonging in London, you’re in the right place.
We’re a women-only community for intentionally childfree women who want to build meaningful, lasting friendships with other women whose lives aren’t centered around having children.
Many childfree women find that, over time, their existing social circles become increasingly centered around children and family life. We’re creating something different: a place where your life path is understood naturally, familiar faces become friends, and those friendships have the opportunity to deepen and become part of your wider life.
Our dinners, walks, coffees, book club and recurring gatherings are particularly suited to women who are:
• New to London
• Building a stronger local network
• Looking for a social home base
• Are comfortable with guidelines and structure
* Seeking genuine long-term community
Most members are over 35 and prioritise balanced lives, health and wellness, and lasting friendships. You absolutely don’t need to attend everything — but the women who get the most from the community stay engaged, participate and invest in getting to know other members over time.
If your social calendar is already full and you’re mainly browsing Meetup for occasional one-off events, this probably won’t be the right fit. We’re intentionally building a community rather than an events listing.
Why we deliberately use structure
Most of us made our closest friends in environments that had structure built into them — school, university, work, sports, clubs, recurring activities. You saw the same people repeatedly, familiarity developed naturally, and friendship had time to grow.
Adult life removes much of that scaffolding. So we recreate some of it deliberately.
Our small membership, recurring events, RSVP expectations, organised communication spaces and emphasis on seeing the same women again and again are not incidental. They are designed to create continuity, repeated familiarity and shared investment — the conditions in which strangers become familiar faces, and familiar faces become real friends.
We don’t expect instant intimacy, and we’re not trying to manufacture friendship. Quite the opposite: the structure allows relationships to develop slowly and organically over time.
That does mean we ask members to participate in the systems that keep the community working. With 50 women, reliability and consideration matter. Checking event information, managing your own RSVPs, respecting reservations and using the appropriate communication channels are small individual actions that protect everyone’s experience — and make it possible for the community to remain personal rather than chaotic.
The structure isn’t separate from the community. It’s part of how the community becomes possible.
Our WhatsApp Community
WhatsApp is where membership continues between meetups. It’s intentionally structured, moderated and low-noise, with separate spaces so members can choose how much conversation they want.
Joining the WhatsApp Community is a requirement of Meetup membership.
Over time, we’ve found that members who never join WhatsApp also tend not to attend events, leaving a limited membership place unavailable to someone ready to participate. For that reason, new members who haven’t joined the WhatsApp Community within 10 days of acceptance are removed from the Meetup group.
Applying to Join
Our group is currently capped at 50 members and operating a waitlist. Applications are considered based on thoughtful, self-aware responses and overall community fit rather than simply in the order received. Referrals from existing members may receive priority, and exceptions to the 50-member cap may occasionally be made for an outstanding application.
Applications will now be processed in batches on the first Sunday of the month. For faster updates on the status of your application please DM the organiser with your email address.
Before applying, please read our community guidelines:

Please answer all membership questions fully and thoughtfully, and include a clear profile photo and at least your full, real first name (surname optional).
We’re not just making friends in London. We’re intentionally building the social infrastructure for a lifelong childfree future.
There are no “right” answers. We simply want to understand who you are, what you’re looking for, and whether this feels like the right community for all of us. Every application is read with care, and thoughtful answers are your first small investment in the community you may soon help shape. If you have space in your life for new friendships, want to know the same women beyond a single event, and are excited by the idea of helping create the kind of childfree community you’d like to have around you for years to come, we’d genuinely love to hear from you. ✨
