Welcome to Samadhi! We aim to introduce people to meditation and mindfulness, and to help them integrate these practices into their daily life. Everyone is welcome to join our sessions!
We engage in various meditations from the Buddhist and other contemplative traditions. Drawing on the practical experience of meditation, psychology, and Buddhist wisdom, we look at insights, teachings and new ways of thinking which help us unwind, relax, let go of things like stress and anxiety, and cultivate positive minds such as patience, compassion, and equanimity.
With a regular meditation practice, you will gain greater and greater peace of mind and discover a more positive approach to life, as well as improved levels of emotional and mental health. Meditation has numerous benefits for the health of both your body and mind, is easy to do, and something everyone can learn.

Weekly Online Guided Meditation & Discussion Group

Everyone welcome, no pressure to speak or have your camera on - simply listen in and enjoy.
These sessions include a guided meditation, a short talk on our practice of the week, and some time for group discussion. There is no need to commit to every week, you can drop-in whenever you wish.

We Can’t Always Get What We Want (And That’s All Right)
·OnlineOnlineWe put a lot of effort into trying to make life go the way we planned. But then… it doesn’t. We miss our chance, something goes wrong, someone says no, or something unexpected happens. The mind often reacts as if it’s been personally insulted.
In this talk, hosted on Insight Timer Live, we’ll explore what’s really going on when we don’t get what we want, and how to work with disappointment without turning into a monster or completely falling apart. We’ll look into the basic Buddhist psychology of attachment and aversion, and how your expectations become the tension and frustration you experience.
You’ll leave with insights that help you to:
– recognise when desire turns into attachment
– manage frustration in the body and mind (without making it everyone else’s problem)
– let go of an outcome without giving up on what matters
– meet life as it is, with greater wellbeing and happinessWe’ll conclude with a brief guided practice and time for questions.

This Precious Human Life – A One Day Retreat
Jamyang Buddhist Centre, The Old Courthouse, Tara Room, 43 Renfrew Road, London, SE11 4NA., London, GBJoin us for ‘This Precious Human Life,’ a meaningful one-day retreat (in-person or online) inspired by the profound teachings contained in the Four Revolutions in Outlook (also known as the Four Thoughts that Turn the Mind).
We’ll explore meditations, contemplations and teachings on the rarity and preciousness of our human existence, and on the transient nature of life (impermanence). There will also be discussions on the reality of our suffering (duhkha) and actions and their consequences (karma).
Through reflection and practice, this day aims to deepen your appreciation of the preciousness of your life and the opportunities you have, and inspire a powerful boost for authentic Dharma practice.
Everyone is welcome to attend this day retreat, particularly those exploring the Buddhist path, whether for the first time or as a seasoned practitioner. These themes are regarded as indispensable in all schools of Tibetan Buddhism and are taught as the common, outer preliminaries for more advanced practice.
About our London Day Retreats
These Buddhist meditation day retreats, which can be attended online or in-person, offer the opportunity to discover what meditation and Buddhist mind training can do for mental well-being and to meet and share with like-minded people.
The sessions are perfect for both beginners and those with more experience. We hope to provide you with the foundation for developing your own practice, and help you develop tools that reduce stress, anxiety and worry; and nurture a happier, calmer, and more positive approach to life.
