A time-honoured practice for a healthy body and mind
A six week course running from September 17th to October 22nd
Qigong is a gentle mind-body discipline with roots in the distant past. Relatively simple to learn, it is a gentle form of exercise for better health, rejuvenation and regeneration, and is sometimes referred to as Taoist yoga. On this course we will be working with the Earth Element
Conscious Movement
The Energy of Late Summer corresponds to the Nurturing Earth Element; it’s a time of abundance and change. This is when Summer, with its extreme Yang energy, powerful brilliance and heat, yields and softens into the beginning of Autumn, when the cooler Yin energy creeps in. In the body Earth is connected to the digestive, so we can think of processing and digesting not just the foods we eat but also ideas and emotions.
On this short course we will be working with stabilising and balancing mind and body as we move into this period of transition as Summer starts turning into Autumn.
