This Sunday, the World Cup final day, join us in overthinking football and strolling around Hackney Wick, Olympic Park and maybe Victoria park.

We'll be kicking around questions such as:
Is football capable of teaching moral virtues?
What does football tell us about our national identity?
What makes a game beautiful?
Why do we care so much about football?

You don't need to be a football fan or a philosophy expert to join as there's lots of universal themes to talk about. Meet outside Hackney Wick Overground station at 10am.

There will be some quotes from the book below but you don't have to read it to attend.

This is a walking discussion group with handouts with quotes and questions provided as a starting point. The only rule is to keep all discussion friendly and constructive and be respectful of other attendees. No dogs please because they are distracting for group discussion. Please arrive early: we wait a maximum of 15 minutes at the meeting location and once we have left it will be very difficult to find us. The walk will go ahead no matter the weather so do dress appropriately and bring an umbrella if needed.
