Welcome to the London Psychedelic Community! 🌈
Since 2018, the London Psychedelic Community has been bringing together curious minds, open hearts and people from all walks of life through more than 130 gatherings, socials, discussions and shared experiences.
We're a community for psychonauts, explorers, researchers, creatives, thinkers, seekers and anyone fascinated by the mysteries of consciousness, the human experience and the nature of reality.
Whether you're an experienced psychonaut, a curious newcomer, a spiritual seeker, a scientific thinker or simply someone who enjoys meaningful conversations and meeting interesting people, you're welcome here!
Our interests are wonderfully diverse and include:

As our community continues to grow, we hope to expand into workshops, educational events, wellbeing-focused activities, retreats and other opportunities for learning, exploration and connection.

## 🌍 A NOTE ABOUT OUR MEETUP GROUP
Our community has been active since 2018, even though this particular Meetup group is relatively new.
Our original Meetup group was private and had grown to more than 3,000 members.
We eventually decided to make the community public so that it would be easier to discover and more accessible to people looking for a welcoming space like ours.
Unfortunately, Meetup doesn't allow an existing private group to be converted into a public one, so we had to close the original group and start again.
Although our previous membership numbers couldn't be transferred, the community itself never started from scratch. We've been bringing people together since 2018 and have organised more than 130 events along the way.
We're also gradually moving away from Meetup as our main event platform.
Dandelion Events and Eventbrite will be our primary ticketing platforms, alongside other event platforms, making it easier for people to discover our gatherings and stay connected.

I use the pseudonym Sinbad to maintain my privacy because of my profession. I'm an experienced, trauma-informed educator specialising in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) education, with a background in mathematics and Telecommunications Engineering.
Beyond my professional life, I've always had a lifelong fascination and deep passion for psychedelics, spirituality and spiritual healing, naturopathy, consciousness, the human experience and the mysteries of existence.
My interests span science, psychology, philosophy, world religions, spirituality, mysticism, esotericism and ancient wisdom, particularly where these different ways of understanding reality intersect, including questions about the seen and unseen worlds. I also love connecting with nature and exploring the wonders of the natural world.
