Meet open-minded people for a relaxed afternoon of nature, connection, and meaningful conversation around psychedelics, consciousness, wellbeing, and the wider human experience.
Step away from the noise of city life and join us for a gentle Sunday gathering in Regent’s Park.

We’ll meet at Baker Street, take a relaxed walk through the park and Queen Mary’s Rose Garden, then settle somewhere peaceful on the grass for a picnic, conversation, laughter, reflection, and good company.
Along the way, we’ll encourage some gentle introductions and connection, particularly for anyone coming alone or joining the community for the first time.
There’s no forced networking or awkward icebreakers - just a little help creating opportunities for people to meet and for conversation to flow naturally.
Once we’ve found a comfortable spot, we’ll take a few quiet minutes to arrive fully in the moment through a short optional guided meditation - an opportunity to settle our minds, notice the world around us, connect with our environment, breathe, reflect, and simply be.
From there, the afternoon opens into a relaxed picnic social with plenty of space for meaningful conversation, sharing perspectives, laughter, quiet reflection, and simply enjoying the company of like-minded people.
Whether you are an experienced psychonaut, interested in psychedelic research and integration, exploring consciousness or spirituality, or simply looking for deeper conversations and genuine human connection, you are warmly welcome.
Think of it as:
A relaxed picnic social - with depth.

📍 THE PLAN
2:00 PM - Meet at the Sherlock Holmes Statue 🕵️
We’ll meet by the Sherlock Holmes statue next to Baker Street Station.
Come over, say hello, and give everyone a little time to arrive.
2:15 PM - Walk towards Regent’s Park 🌿
We’ll set off together at a relaxed pace towards Regent’s Park.
The walk gives us a natural opportunity to start chatting, introduce ourselves, and get to know a few new people along the way.
2:30 PM - Queen Mary’s Rose Garden 🌹
We’ll make our way through the beautiful Queen Mary’s Rose Garden before continuing towards our picnic destination.
Take your time, enjoy the surroundings, and let the conversations flow.
3:00 PM - Optional Introductions & Guided Meditation 🧘
Once we’re settled on the grass, we’ll have some gentle introductions for anyone who would like to take part.
We’ll then have a short optional guided meditation, taking a few quiet moments to slow down, connect with our surroundings, breathe, reflect, and simply be.
There is absolutely no pressure to participate.
3:15 PM–5:00 PM - Picnic & Chill 🧺✨
From here, the afternoon is yours.
Relax, eat, chat, meet new people, share perspectives, listen, laugh, reflect, or simply enjoy being outside.
Everything is optional - come as you are and take part in whatever feels comfortable.
📍 A live location will be shared on the day through our WhatsApp community for anyone joining us later.

🧠 ABOUT YOUR HOST
I’m Sinbad, a pseudonym I use because of my profession. I’m a trauma-informed educator, and I organise and host the London Psychedelic Community, which has been bringing people together since 2018.

I’m a lifelong philomath and psychonaut with a deep curiosity about consciousness, altered states and the many ways human beings have tried to understand the mysteries of mind, meaning and reality. My interests span psychedelics, psychology, neuropsychopharmacology, philosophy, spirituality, religion, mysticism, esotericism, demonology, eschatology, mythology, mathematics, sacred geometry, cymatics, sound, frequency, resonance, symbolism, nature and ancient wisdom traditions.

❓ FAQs
🙋 CAN I COME ALONE?
Absolutely.
Many people come to our gatherings on their own, so you certainly won’t be the only one.
We’ll create a few gentle opportunities during the walk for people to meet and speak to someone new, so you won’t simply be expected to arrive and find your own way into an established group.
There’s no forced networking and no pressure to participate - the aim is simply to make meeting people feel natural and comfortable.
Come alone, come with friends, or come to make new ones.

🧺 WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Nothing is required.
If you would like, you can bring:

  • A picnic blanket or something to sit on
  • Food or snacks
  • Fruit
  • Water or drinks
  • A warm layer for later
  • A musical instrument - guitar, drum, flute, etc. 🎶
  • Something to share, if you feel like it

Or simply bring yourself.
There is absolutely no pressure to bring food or anything to share.

🧘 DO I HAVE TO JOIN THE MEDITATION OR INTRODUCTIONS?
Not at all.
Both the guided meditation and introductions are completely optional.
You are welcome to participate, quietly observe, or simply relax while they are happening.
The purpose is to create a gentle opportunity to become present and help people connect - not to put anyone on the spot.

🍄 DO I NEED EXPERIENCE WITH PSYCHEDELICS?
No.
You may be experienced, completely new to the subject, interested in psychedelic research, curious about consciousness, or simply interested in meeting open-minded people.
No previous psychedelic experience is required.
Curiosity is enough.

⚠️ WILL THERE BE PSYCHEDELICS OR OTHER ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES AT THE EVENT?
This is a sober community gathering.
No illegal substances are sold, supplied, sourced, facilitated, or provided at our events.
Conversation around psychedelics, personal experiences, research, history, consciousness, and integration is welcome, but please respect the law and the boundaries of others.

☔ WHAT IF IT RAINS?
If the weather makes the park unsuitable, our backup meeting place will be:
The Metropolitan Bar (JD Wetherspoon), near Baker Street Station
Any changes will be shared with registered attendees and through our WhatsApp community.

📍 WHAT IF I ARRIVE LATE?
Don’t worry.
A live location will be shared through our WhatsApp community on the day so that anyone arriving later can find us in the park.

📸 WILL THERE BE PHOTOGRAPHY?
We may take photos and short videos during our gatherings to share on the London Psychedelic Community’s social media pages and event platforms.
By attending, you acknowledge that photography and filming may take place and are happy to be included.
If you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed, that is absolutely fine - simply speak to the host or a member of the team when you arrive and we will respect your wishes.
We want everyone to feel comfortable and able to enjoy the gathering.

🤝 COMMUNITY ETHOS
At the heart of our community are:
connection, curiosity, open-minded dialogue, mutual respect, personal responsibility, and genuine human interaction.
People may approach psychedelics, consciousness, spirituality, religion, philosophy, psychology, science, and the mysteries of existence from very different perspectives.
You do not need to agree with everyone.
We simply ask that you engage respectfully, listen with an open mind, respect personal boundaries, and allow others the same freedom to explore ideas and perspectives that you would want for yourself.

Our Meetup group has recently been relaunched as a public group, so the membership numbers there are starting again from scratch. The community itself has been gathering since 2018, with more than 130 events held over the years.
We are gradually moving away from Meetup as our main events platform, so Eventbrite and WhatsApp are the best places to stay updated about future events.
