Scala Coding Dojo

For the March Dojo, we will take a dive into the Lagom framework. We will have a brief introduction of the key features and abstractions of the framework followed by an hands-on session.

The challenge:
Starting with a basic service we are going to extend it in order to discover cool functionalities of the framework.

What to expect:
Once you are here you will get a copy of Nature. We strongly encourage you to form pairs, so bring a friend or/and get to know a perfect stranger as you embark on a mission to save your spider friend.

Schedule

6.00pm Socialise, eat pizza, discuss this evening’s problem
6.30pm Split into groups and start the dojo proper
8.00pm Show and tell - discuss what was learnt
8.30pm Pub - TBD

If you can, please bring a laptop with you with a Scala development environment ready to use. The most common ones are the Scala IDE in Eclipse (http://scala-ide.org/docs/user/gettingstarted.html) and Intellij (http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/features/scala.html)
