Scala in October

From: Andy H.

Think I should give everybody a bit of notice that there will be two evening talks on the same week in October. The first has just been added to and is 'David Pollak - Lift: It's Different Baby' the other will be by 'Tim Perrett' who is writing the 'Lift in Action' book. Tim's talk will be on 13Oct the first evening of Scala LiftOff given everybody who is unable to join in the day to get something out of the unconference. This will be up on once we have a description and its on SkillsMatter etc. (should be in a day or two)

In summary, the events for 'scala week' are:
Thu-Fri 13th - Scala LiftOff (£) - an unconference with friends from Typesafe and other. Just ask people about last years event.
Thu 13th Tim Perret Scala Helix: the searchable cylinder of awesome (FREE)

(And SkillsMatter are also tweeting that they have a special scala/lift announcement tomorrow)

But before all this happens there is still 'Practical Scalaz: making your life easier the hard way' and a Dojo

ps: If you're looking for training before this then there is Miles Sabin's Advanced Scala Development (5th Sep) and Heiko Seeberger's Fast Track to Scala (26th Sep)
