What we’re about
This is a social, walking for fitness group for people who want to walk with a friendly small group (about 20 people) along the river Thames, along the Grand Union Canal and through the London Parks and just enjoy the beautiful city that is London.
We will walk at a moderate pace of 3 miles an hour so it does your heart some good.
Walking is great for your physical and mental health and a great way to get a dose of vitamin D. Walking for health - NHS (www.nhs.uk)
Ask people about their passions in life rather than what they do for a living. You'll get a much more interesting conversation going.
The group doesn't accept any liability for injury. You are responsible for yourself so wear the correct clothes and footwear for the weather and walking conditions and make sure you are fit enough to walk. If you are unsure please consult your doctor.
Things crop up so if you can't make please change your RSVP so others on the waitlist can join.
All walks are FREE so if you enjoy the walk please donate the cost of a small latte £2.15 to one of the following charities:
Donate | Prostate Cancer UK
Royal Osteoporosis Society - Osteoporosis Charity UK (theros.org.uk)
or if donating to charities is not your thing please give blood as stocks are low after Covid.

Come and get involved in women's walking football!
After the success of our women's international team why not start at grass roots and try out walking football. It's a non-contact sport that can improve your fitness and those hidden football skills.
We play on artificial grass, so a good pair of trainers or Astro boots and any other comfortable sports wear should be worn.
Why women play Walking Football.
Women have been playing Walking Football nearly as long as men have, but the growth in the last few years has been tremendous and this is only set to continue.
This growth has seen the introduction of Women’s England teams in several age groups and many more women only clubs. The women’s game is exactly the same as the men’s, except women start to play Walking Football competitively at over 40’s.Lambeth believes any age / any ability / fun and camaraderie is at the core of games and social activities. So all are welcome.
The health benefits for women playing Walking Football are undeniable. For many women, this is their first opportunity for a long time to play an organised sport, so when they do, they discover the camaraderie that comes as an added benefit.
Many women who play Walking Football may have never played football before, so Walking Football is a great, slow-paced introduction to the beautiful game.## Walking football sessions in Lambeth
