I've just started this but this will be a regular lunchtime walk for fitness. we will walk 5K (3.1 miles). We will use the parkrun route so if you get inspired you can run it on a Saturday morning. If you can't afford 1hr at lunch you can just do the one circuit which will take 30 minutes.

The idea is if you walk with other people it will make the walk go quicker and hopefully walking in a group will help motivate you to come regularly.

The start is the green marker in the above picture. As it's lunchtime I can't wait past 1:10 so catch us up or if you are really late we will pick you up after 30 minutes. Interactive map here course | Clapham Common parkrun

Please no dogs. (some people are afraid).

From the parkrun website (I'm sure they won't mind)
"A flat, circular, 2-lap clockwise course around the perimeter of Clapham Common. Start and finish located close to the double football pitches by Broomwood Road. The course may not be suitable for buggies"

About the London Small Group River Walks group
This is a social, walking for fitness group for people who want to walk with a friendly small group (about 10 to 20 people) along the river Thames, along the Grand Union Canal and through the London Parks and just enjoy the beautiful city that is London.
We will walk at a moderate pace of 3 miles an hour so it does your heart some good.
Walking is great for your physical and mental health and a great way to get a dose of vitamin D. Everyone's welcome. Please just be kind. If you are a little nervous about turning up on your own, message me and I'll talk to you on the day. You'll soon get bored and talk to others in the group.
Ask people about their passions in life rather than what they do for a living. You'll get a much more interesting conversation going.

The group doesn't accept any liability for injury. You are responsible for yourself so wear the correct clothes and footwear for the weather and walking conditions and make sure you are fit enough to walk. If you are unsure please consult your doctor. By RSVPs to this event you accept the group has no liability.
Things crop up so if you can't make it please change your RSVP

Please give blood as stocks are low after Covid.
