Camping and Multi-activity trip in Lake District

Ullswater is the prettiest lake in the country, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery to its south and gentle hills on the north.

We will be camping at a camping site by the lake, so you will have opportunity to take a stroll around the lake anytime and explore the town of Pooley Bridge.

ACTIVITIES

• Saturday - Hiking ~15 miles/ 25 km
• Sunday - Half-day Kayaking (4 hours)

WHATS INCLUDED:

• 2 night at the campsite (non-electric pitch)
• 1 day hiking
• Half day kayaking in Ullswater lake in shared double kayaks (includes hire cost)
  Bouyancy aids for kayaking
• Powerstation to charge mobile phones

Please note, we will use "sit-on-top" kayaks that are more stable and easier to navigate than the "sit-in" kayaks.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:

• Travel to and from the Campsite
• £20 supplement for single kayak
• £120 supplement to upgrade to twin-shared Glamping Pods (pods have heating & decking area, and includes electric socket and lighting, but are completely empty so you will need sleeping bags, mats)
• Lunch, Dinner, snacks, drinks
• Camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, mat/air mattress etc)
• Any other activity

TRAVEL:
Public Transport:

• Train to Penrith and then taxi to campsite or if you are feeling extra energetic, hike to the campsite (11 km)
• Drive to the campsite

Limited places for lift-share available from London.

CAMPSITE FACILITIES:
Facilities at the campsite is quite good. clean and well maintained toilets including

• Hot showers
• Kitchen wash area
• Laundry
• Farm shop
• Wifi (at reception area)

FOOD

1. There are many pubs/restaurants at Pooley Bridge
2. Cook your own meals - there is an onsite-shop
3. Takeaway form Pooley Bridge or onsite cafe (does breakfast, pizzas and other lite meals options)

Total: £195
Deposit £100, balance payable latest by 30th March 2024.
Only payment confirms your place for the event. Payment for upgrades are required at the time of booking.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

• - All outdoor activity involves risk and you will be responsible for your own safety. While we will support you in case of an injury or mishap, we do not bear any responsibility for your safety.
• Ability to swim is mandatory for kayaking. If you are not a able swimmer, you can not join for kayaking (discount offered if you do not want to do kayaking)
• Glamping pods have very limited availability so the upgrade option depends on available and is not guaranteed.
• Payments are non-refundable, unless in case of event cancellation.
