'Literature, Physicians & Philanthropists – Historic Bloomsbury’ Guided Walk

Come along on Saturday 7th October for a Blue Badge Guided Walk around Bloomsbury!

We have 2 guides, Diane Burstein & Jill Dalton. Please indicate which guide/time you wish to go with when you RSVP and come along for that time.

About the walk
Bloomsbury is a fascinating area and on this tour we discover all the different faces of London’s intellectual heart. The presence of the British Museum and London University have attracted many intellectuals and writers.

We will discover how these institutions evolved and hear stories of the many colourful personalities who lived here over the years. We encounter writers, artists, political campaigners, pioneers and philanthropists while navigating the attractive garden squares and terraces of Bloomsbury.

The walk is a private walk for the group, we will be guided by Blue Badge guides Diane Burstein & Jill Dalton.

Payment
Full Members of the group will be £9, everyone else the cost is £11 per person (payable via cash on the day).

Afterwards
After we will head to 'The Marquis Cornwallis pub' 31 Marchmont Street for a chat over a drink. We finish not far from Russell Square Tube Station.

If you can make it, please come to the pub afterwards, as it’s a great way to meet and get to know others after the visit.

Please note, we will only wait at the station for 10 minutes after the advertised meeting time so please be early or on time.

Look out for the red & blue 'London Cultureseekers' group sign outside the station.
