Come along on Wednesday 11th March for a tour of the Kennel Club!

About the club
The Kennel Club was founded in 1873 after Sewallis E. Shirley became frustrated by trying to organise dog shows without a consistent set of rules. It is the largest organisation in the UK devoted to dog health, welfare and training.

At the club's HQ in Mayfair, they have a library and a substantial dog related collection including paintings by artists Edwin Landseer, drawings, prints, trophies sculptures and ceramics. The artefacts date from the 1st century up to the present day with special focus on works from the 19th and 20th centuries.

When we arrive, we will be having welcome drinks, then a talk on what the club does, followed by a tour of the library and the art collection.
