Day trip by train - historic Maidstone in Kent!

Details
Come along on Saturday 7th June to visit the historic town of Maidstone in Kent1
About Maidstone and the trip
Maidstone means 'stone of the maidens' or 'stone of the people'', referring to a nearby megalith stone around which gatherings took place.
Its origins go back over 1000 years to Anglo-Saxon times and is a historically important place. It lies 32 miles (51 km) south-east of London and is on the main road coming up from the coast at Dover.
The River Medway runs through the centre of the town, linking it with Rochester and the Thames Estuary. Historically, the river carried much of the town's trade as the centre of the agricultural county of Kent, which is why its known as the Garden of England.
We will be having a guided tour of the town and also a museum visit.
Cost
Cost of the guided walk is £7 per person the the museum visit is £6 per person (payable on the day by cash, bank transfer or PayPal).
You can chose to do both of these, either or do your own thing.
