STILL LIFE IN COLOUR- ONLINE CREATIVE PAINTING COURSE WITH CAT TAMS

Create confident and lush paintings in this beautiful new online course with artist and London Drawing tutor Cat Tams
The new course is a real exploration in painting. Cat will lead you through a series of processes which will unlock your creativity- and help you to bring depth and confidence to your painting. We will use the traditional subject of still life to build contemporary compositions which transition from figurative into abstraction – to create beautiful expansive pieces you will want to hang on your wall!
Using structured and playful colour exercises we will experiment with placing colours together in different combinations to maximise effect in your work. We will take inspiration from artists such as Pierre Bonnard and Rebecca Scott to illustrate the basics of colour theory, and the research and colour analysis of artist and writer Emily Vanderpoel. Putting this theory into practice, we will build our own interactive colour wheels and develop our own palette, applying our knowledge to a sustained still life painting.
