Wabi-sabi is a beauty of things imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete. It is an appreciation of authenticity, modesty and humility and an acceptance of the natural order. Applying this concept to photography allows us to see and create things in unconventional ways.

Join us for this unique workshop and through a set of exercises you will start to "see" and shoot more creatively. You will develop an eye for wabi-sabi and create images that show the beauty in wabi-sabi.

Long exposure photography is associated with fine art photography due to the surreal and other worldly effects long exposure photography can bring.

We will be providing KASE ND filters, graduated filters and adaptors

Join us on this workshop where we take you through everything you need to know about this genre of photography. You will come away confident with how to use filters at any new location and make your images stand out from the crowd!

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

• Master ND filters
• Camera settings to create movement
• How to expose, focus and compose your image
• Best practise for long exposure photography
• Filter types - what they do - how and when to use them
• Post processing hints & tips

EQUIPMENT

• Lens: 18-55mm, 24-70mm or similar
• A tripod
• Shutter release

EXPERIENCE

• Beginners and refreshers with basic knowledge of how to use your camera

CLOTHING

• Shoes with a good grip for walking over (potentially) wet rocks
• Check the weather and dress accordingly
