Happy Chappies - Colourful Characters - Street & Portrait Photography

Join us on this street photography event with a twist!

Dozens and dozens of flamboyantly dressed people will be wandering the streets of London today. Their outfits range from 18th century popinjay to early 19th century guards officer, Edwardian cyclists, 1930s vamp to 1940s pimp; sometimes even vintage Gucci from 1971, accessorised with a vintage straw boater.

We will look at ways to add multiple points of interest to your photo and other techniques to elevate your photography and keep your viewer engaged.

You'll be given a series of challenges to help build your confidence in this genre of photography.

EXPERIENCE

• Beginners/Refreshers

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

• Composition
• Adding interest
• Layers
• Candid or posed and how to approach people
• The legalities
• Camera settings

EQUIPMENT:

• Any camera
• A standard 18-55 kit lens will do or use a 70-200 for candid shots

• A fun and experimental attitude!
