Chelsea’s streets will burst into vibrant colour with stunning floral displays, all competing in the prestigious Chelsea in Bloom competition. There are more than 115 floral displays inspired by this year’s fashion theme. Join us for a unique and fun filled afternoon!

Some of the standout displays include:

• A towering four-metre tall punk with a spiked floral mohawk
• Giant riding boots
• Supersized Elton John-style sunglasses
• A floral couture gown honouring Jane Austen
• A handbag installation

Dungeness is a place of contrasts: decay and life, industry and nature, solitude and connection. For a photographer, it offers endless stories waiting to be told - one frame at a time.

You’ll find the skeletal remains of old fishing boats along the landscape, each telling their own silent story, their weathered wood marked by time and tide. You’ll find rustic charm in the wooden cottages, each with their own personality. This is also where industry meets the sea with the towering silhouette of the Dungeness nuclear power, the soundscape and of course the lighthouses.

Dungeness is where nature and industry meet in haunting harmony. It is like stepping into another world - a surreal blend of raw wilderness, industrial and human touch.

To ensure you get the best out of the day we'll have a few projects for you to work on. This is a day to play with perspective, angles and framing to capture the beauty and uniqueness of this desolate landscape.

Reportage photography or visual narrative photography is the art of telling the story of an event or location through photographs. It is based on photojournalism and when carried out properly, reportage photography will provide a comprehensive collection of photographs that will form a story of the subject.

In this edition of this storytelling workshop we will choose from a selection of topics occurring in Chinatown, in order to create a collection of photo stories. It is going to be challenging but also full of discovery.

You will learn how to report and tell your story from beginning to end and then given a brief and a series of exercises to help you tell your story.
