Wildlife Photography in Richmond Park

Join us on this workshop to capture the majestic Red and Fallow deer with countless beautiful backdrops, including silver birch tree copses, lone oak trees, ferns and lakes.
We will be on the lookout for deer and other wildlife subjects including brightly coloured ring-necked parakeets, green woodpeckers, grey squirrels and a plethora of insects.
Come and meet other wildlife photographers, improve or refresh your skills and knowledge and experience the joy of shooting deer.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This session will consist of an introduction to the basics of wildlife photography, including:
- Best camera settings & controls
- Shutter speeds to get sharp photos
- Shutter speeds to pan
- Settings to get subject to pop out of the background
- Composition
- Safety precautions
EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- Beginners with a basic knowledge of using you camera
- Intermediates looking to refresh their skills
EQUIPMENT
- Any camera
- Telephoto lenses minimum 70-200mm
- 300mm or longer if you have one
- Tripods are optional (recommended for heavy lenses)
OTHER ESSENTIALS
- Check weather on the day
- Wear appropriate clothing/shoes for weather conditions and walking through the park
- It can be helpful to have something to kneel on like seat pad or a bin bag, etc.
