TALK 01 - Define the Problem, Not the Solution - Solving Mathematical Optimization Programs in Python, by Basilio Gentile

Synopsis
Mathematical optimizatiom programs are the only way we can solve some important problems in scheduling, plant operations, finance, traffic management, control systems, energy markets, and much more.

They are simple to define and to solve, and yet not many software developers have this tool under their belt.

This talk explains what mathematical optimization is, why it is useful and how to make use of it in Python.

Speaker Bio
Basilio Gentile got his degrees in Italy and Denmark, did research in California and got his PhD from ETH Zurich in game theory. He then co-founded the London-based deep-tech company Circuit Mind, which aims at changing the way the world builds hardware. He is working there as the CTO, focussing on algorithms and product management.

TALK 02
Open Mic Lighting Talks (5 minutes each)
