About us
This is a group for anyone interested in meeting like-minded people and socialising by participating in hiking adventures. All skill levels are welcome. We started this group in 2018 to help people get connected, travel together and explore amazing natural wonders.
With us you get to:
🚌 Discover destinations that aren’t easily reached by public transport. London Social Hiking is the only hiking group licensed to operate minibuses, making all our experiences truly unique.
🗺️ Be part of a small group (maximum 15 people). Many of you agree that small-group trips offer a more rewarding experience, greater flexibility and better opportunities to connect with fellow hikers and nature.
🥾 Enjoy hikes led by qualified and knowledgeable Mountain Leaders and Lowland Leaders.
💰 Benefit from great value. London Social Hiking is a not-for-profit group, so the price of each hike simply covers the running costs and is significantly lower than what a commercial operator would charge for a similar trip.

Novotel London West, London, GB#################
This trip is now fully booked! If you missed out, a few spots are still available on Saturday's hike to Corfe Castle, Studland Bay & Old Harry Rocks:
https://www.meetup.com/londonsocialhiking/events/313219662/We’ve created a list of FAQs to help answer your questions.
#################
Come and join us for a truly magical hike to the Cotswolds to explore some of the most beautiful villages in Britain!
Think honey-coloured cottages, cosy pubs, tiny tearooms and narrow streets. The unspoilt market towns and villages of the Cotswolds have a quintessential English charm found nowhere else in the world. It really is a unique experience!
We'll begin our hike in the charming old wool merchants' town of Chipping Campden, home to one of the prettiest high streets in England. Our trail will take us to the picturesque Cotswold villages of Broadway and Snowshill, through some of the region's best scenery: rolling hills (the "wolds"), ancient woodlands and dramatic escarpments with stunning panoramic views. The entire walk is within the protected Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the largest of the 38 AONBs in England and Wales. After the hike, we'll enjoy a well-deserved pint at the traditional 15th-century Snowshill Arms pub.
HIKE HIGHLIGHTS
- Visit the stunning market town of Chipping Campden, famous for its elegant terraced honey-coloured High Street, dating from the 14th century to the 17th century. Admire the imposing medieval church of St James and the 400-year-old Cotswold Market Hall.
- Discover the picture-postcard village of Broadway (known as the “Jewel of the Cotswolds”), and enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of its many charming, cosy tea rooms.
- Pass through the outstandingly beautiful, unspoilt Cotswold village of Snowshill.
- Climb Dover's Hill (230m), with its glorious views over the surrounding countryside. Dover's Hill was the site of the original English Olympic Games, which began here 400 years ago in 1612.
- Climb to the magnificent Broadway Tower, built around 1800, and enjoy unrivalled panoramic views from one of England's favourite viewpoints.
- Hike the northern section of the Cotswold Way – one of the 15 National Trails, passing through some of the most stunning and diverse landscapes in Britain.

⛰️ Hiking Snowdon – The Highest Mountain in Wales
Novotel London West, London, GB#################
Explore Britain’s most stunning trails in a small group of up to 14, travelling together by private minibus to beautiful, remote locations not easily reached by public transport.
On this trip, we're going to stay in the UNESCO World Heritage town of Caernarfon – only a short walk from one of the most famous castles in Wales!
We’ve created a list of FAQs to help answer your questions.
#################
The Snowdonia National Park boasts vast areas of natural beauty and unique scenery. It is also known as “Eryri”, a Welsh name that can be translated as “the place of the eagles”. Covering 838 square miles, it is the largest and oldest national park in Wales. There are nine mountain ranges here and they cover over half of the national park’s surface.
Departing from London early on Saturday morning, we'll head to Snowdon – the tallest mountain in Wales, at an elevation of 1085 metres above sea level. Starting from Pen-y-Pass mountain pass, we'll climb Snowdon via the Pyg Track, which offers one of the most popular and scenic routes to the summit. On our way, we'll enjoy exceptional views of the beautiful glacial lakes of Llyn Llydaw and Glaslyn, dramatic cliffs and the surrounding peaks of the Snowdon Massif mountain range. The descent is via the Miners' Track. It's so called as it was originally built to serve the Britannia Copper Mine on the slopes of Snowdon. After an initial steep descent, we'll follow an easy and gradual downhill path along the shores of beautiful lakes, past the historic mine buildings. After the hike, we’ll travel to the medieval, UNESCO World Heritage town of Caernarfon to check in to our hotel, enjoy dinner and relax.
On Sunday, we'll visit the hidden gem – the Aber Valley on the north coast, with its spectacular cascade of waterfalls. The Aber Falls tumble down 40 metres from the Carneddau mountain range, and have earned the title of the most “Instagrammable” 📸 waterfall in the UK. We'll follow the North Wales Path along the scenic hillsides and enjoy superb views of the coastline and Lafan Sands. After the hike, we'll take a short drive back to Caernarfon, where you'll have time for lunch and also to visit the superb UNESCO-listed Caernarfon Castle. This large royal fortress was built on the orders of King Edward I of England during his conquest of Wales in the late 13th century, and is recognised around the world as one of the best-preserved examples of medieval military architecture.

Explore Britain’s most stunning trails in a small group of up to 15, travelling together by private minibus to beautiful, remote locations not easily reached by public transport.
This is the final opportunity to see the seals until next year, as they gradually begin to leave.
We’ve created a list of FAQs to help answer your questions.
#################
We’re off to Norfolk! The seals in Norfolk are truly one of Britain's most special sights. Without any doubt, they're an incredible WOW factor and one that you must see!
On this day hike, we'll walk along the top of the sand dunes and enjoy stunning panoramic views across the North Sea. On our way, we'll pass the much-loved grey seal colony at Horsey Beach, which draws thousands of visitors each year, particularly between November and March, when the seals come ashore to breed. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of seals and their pups stretching for as far as the eye can see!

With over 125 miles of lock-free waterways, the Norfolk Broads have more miles of waterway than Venice or Amsterdam, and are an extremely popular boating holiday destination! Locals like to call the Broads “the Venice of the East”.
💪 This walk is suitable for all abilities – it is almost entirely flat and done at a very gentle pace to allow us enjoy the nature and take plenty of pictures.
HIKE HIGHLIGHTS
