Get ready for a day that combines jaw-dropping geology, royal history and wild coastal beauty across two of Norfolk's most iconic destinations!

We'll begin our day at the elegant seaside resort of Hunstanton, where its famous striped cliffs reveal 100 million years of Earth's history in three vivid bands: gleaming white chalk at the top, deep red chalk in the middle and warm orange carstone at the base. Walking along the beach with these ancient cliffs as your backdrop is genuinely spectacular – there's nowhere else in Britain you can experience this remarkable natural “layer-cake”! We'll then follow the Wolf Trail to uncover the legend of St Edmund, England's first Patron Saint and Hunstanton's most famous visitor, before continuing to the charming village of Old Hunstanton, with its wide sweep of golden sand, rolling dunes and colourful beach huts.

Next, we’ll step onto royal ground. Sandringham has been the private country retreat of the British monarchy since 1862 – cherished by four generations and the Royal Family’s traditional home for Christmas and New Year. Here we’ll explore Sandringham Country Park, opened to visitors by the Royal Family in 1968, wandering through open heathland and beautiful woodland of Corsican and Scots pines, oak, sweet chestnut and silver birch.

This trip is suitable for BEGINNERS – a great way to experience hiking before joining our more difficult trips! 🤩
