LondonTAD presents RAT [Robots, Automation & Testing]

We are pleased to announce our 1st event of 2021 for the London TAD [Test Automation in DevOps] Community, and we have decided to run a speaker panel to discuss a hot fusion of topics to understand the combination of testing, automation and robots i.e. what does the human and machine ways of working look like in 2021 and beyond.

Our speakers are all very experienced and we are very honoured to have Ragavan, Steve, Matt & Gerd joining us.

Ragavan has been in the Software Industry for nearly 20 years, working in the test automation space across various domains like Network Management, Mobile, E-Commerce sites, Online Security and Online Travel. He love's technology and challenges. His current role gives him the freedom to continue to evaluate and implement new solutions for various challenges we are facing in the fast-moving test automation domain. Some of them are Shift Left, Machine Learning, Consumer Driven Contract Testing for microservices/micro-frontends, Mobile Web Automation, Cross Browser Automation to say a few. He has implemented enterprise level automation infrastructure for test automation, using open source alternatives. He like's open source tools and he use them and contributes his share of work in the form of bug fixes to tools like TLB (Test Load Balancer), Cucumber, Selenium GridScaler, SimLauncher, Selenium. Ragavan mentors and creates champions. He write's, speak's and presents his solutions and ideas , that's the way to give back to the community.

Steve is an experienced Testing professional, having worked across a variety of different industries including Banking, Trading, Vehicle Leasing, Automotive Information and B2B data solutions. He is currently Head of Quality Engineering at Octopus Investments, responsible for the testing approach for a range of financial products. Testing is something that he enjoys blogging about (www.stevethedoc.wordpress.com), as well as speaking at conferences, and writing the odd magazine article. When he is not testing, you'll find him presenting a bi-weekly radio show on a local community FM station in Sussex.

Matt has 20+ years of Testing experience across start-ups to multinational blue-chip companies, with the majority of it spent in the Telecom & Media industry. Now helping to shape the future of Vodafone Business testing to meet the demands of increasing speed and agility whilst still improving quality, value and risk levels.

Gerd is an accomplished executive and product management expert with a solid history of building product management programs from the ground up at two organizations. Expertise in leading a product and organization from smaller, focused scale to #1-in-the-market position, often gaining industry recognition for success. Deep technical skills combined with strategic thinking, capacity building, and team leadership proficiency. Well-positioned for a global company with European groups; holder of dual citizenship in Austria and the United States. Direct experience leading companies across a broad geography including USA, Asia, EU, and the Middle East. MBA with a doctorate in Technical Science.
