Cacao Ritual in the Woods - June 2025 (London)

Cacao Circle - for Heart opening, connecting and energy shifts:

Cacao drinking in a ritual circle, is an old tribal practice from native lands. This has now become `mainstream in many esoteric communities. Cacao is not a strong drink with intense reactions like Ayahuasca. Cacao (where chocolate comes from) can be seen as a herbal drink that works gently in heartcentre and energy openings in people. It takes time to work, and initial effects ar subtle. It's effects can include a good feeling of wellness, connection, love, gratitude, mindfullness, positivity. So starting with groundedness, stillness, and balance is importrant in orderto feel its effects.

Regular use of Cacao can bring up emotionbal matters to the surface - so that they can be acknowledged, given time and worked on for personal & psychological shifts and changes.

What's unique about our Circle is that we are holding these in woodland, so as to get closer to the natural environments similar to where tribes would do cacao rituals. We also give plenty of time for each of the sections needed - 1) Set up sacred space, prepare our selves , 2) charge Cacao with energy, 3) drinking, heart opening, Journeying, 4) Sharing!

• Preparation: We set up the altar & ritual space first; Then take time to prepare our selves - body, mind, emotions - using simple ceremonial techniques (stretching, breath work, meditation); Smudging & Spiri animal calling also takes place;
• Energy charge: As our Cacao drink is being heated up in our circle with a camping cooker and large pot, we charge it with additional energies - invocations, chants & drums. This imbues the Cacao with woodland energies, as well as the high energy we raise.
• Drinking & magic: After a silent moment of intention setting, we all drink the Cacao; Following this, a singing bowl (heart frequency) is used for each person, to allow them to work on their own heart opening; Attendeeds are then led in a short guided pathworking / Journey, and given silent time to explore their inner realms further - and allow insights & visions to appear, as well as energies to gently shift.
• Sharing Circle: Once the Journey has ended, we come together to sit in a circle, have some light snacks to ground, as we share any thoughts and experiences. (sharing is optional).

Please do not come late., or leave before ceremony is magically concluded - as both of that can disrupt the experiencees for other attendees. . Allow plenty of time for this experiential magical event, so that its energies can work for you.

Venue: Queen's Wood (nearest Tube: High Gate). These deeper ritual circles are held in a public woods, with rough terrain, and in natural weather conditions . It is not always suitable for everyone.
--These are evening rituals in woods, win semi-darkness, under wet or dry conditions, with insects about. So please do come fully prepared as follows!--

Mani (Facilittor) will meet & collect you, and lead all attendees into the woods, to a chosen ritual space, where the Cacao ceremony will commence.

What to bring - Essential

• Torch light for safe walking in woods at night.
• Extra warm clothing, blanket to cover (for Journey time),
• rain-coat, good outdoor shoes or boots, ankle covered socks!
• Small ground sheet, cushion or blanket to sit/ lay on.

What to bring - Optional-

• Ritual clothing you may like to wear.
• Drums, rattles, percursion musical instruments
• Note books
• Lanterns / candles
• your own crystals & talismans to keep with you.
• Your own Cup to drink Cacao from. (we provide reusualbel cups).

Tidying up:
Please Take any rubbish out to bins in the park or by road side. If there are unopened food items, please share thme out and take them home.

• No photos during actual ritual.
• Only Vegetarian/ vegan foods snacks, thanks.
• For Ages 18+ and over only.

• These woods are NOT suitable for anyone with mobility issues, wheel chairs.

About the Facilitator :
Mani is an author, teacher, initiated Witch & High Priest, with nearly 30yrs of Wicca & magical experiences. Since 2004, he has been working more and more in Woods, with rituals, covens and workshop. Mani has a Physics B.Sc degree, training in Transpersonal Psychology & counselling, and blends some Hindu & Shamanic practices into pagan rituals.
