Join our Full moon ritual (monthly Wicca Circle) on the banks of river Thames, to set up altar, invoke the Triple moon Goddess and do magic at the heart of London. These rituals are suitable for beginners and all interested in Paganism, Wicca & Ritual Magic. Facilitated by Mani (Wiccan Highpriest) & Woodland Witches ritual team, these rituals also provide an opportunity to take on some roles and gain ritual experiences over time.

  • These Full moon rituals are scheduled for the evening on the date of Full moon... or the night before, to make full use of the waxing lunar energies . (Please Rsvp and check updates a day before event!)

---- RITUAL OUTLINE -----------------

We meet everyone by the pavement steps under the Millennium Bridge (south bank), walk down to riverbank, then set up altar and do our ritual. There is an informal social after ritual ends, where we share food & drinks and chat.

  • We start with a brief pathworking - a guided visualisation for stillness and energy opening. This involves connecting to the Earth and the moon/ stars, as well as some personal Charkra work (optional).
  • This is followed by consecration where each person is blessed with consecrated water & incense.
  • Then a magic circle is cast with a wand, and visualisation of a protective bubble / sphere around us.
  • Elements Air, fire, water, earth are called in east, south, west, north. We usually ask a few volunteers to read out loud some of these element invocations.
  • Group energy - we raise with easy chants while circling around or infront of the altar. See below for chants eg, `Lady Spin', `We all come from the Goddess', `River is flowing' etc).
  • Moon Goddess invocations - This varies. In general a Priest does the Moon Goddes invocation, while interested ladies hold hands around the altar to tune into the Goddess energies. They then take turns to read a section of The Charge of the Goddess (written by the late Doreen Valiente). If taking on a Goddess role interests you, come dressed suitble, with flower crown/ moon crown, and let us know once you meet us.
  • Horned God- occassionally we do chats to invoke a God form (Hern, Cernunnos, Pan, Green Man etc). An invocation may also be read out by a Priestess or a volunteering lady.
  • Ritual magic / spell working. This varies each time. We usually do Rune chants for protection, wealth, health, love & joy. Occassionally we may also use a healing chant, or candle magic or other forms of spells. (rsvp so we know exact numbers of people to bring spell items etc).
  • Feasting & social: We finish the ceremony with communal blessing of all the food & drinks people brought, then close circle and feast. (please keep area tidy & take any rubbish to bins on pavement. thanks).

About Wicca:
Wicca, a moder form of Witchcraft religion, was established by Gerald Gardner in late 1950's in England (Gardnerian Wicca), then Alex Saunders (Alexandrian Wicca) with promient contributions from High Priestesses Doreen Valiente (mother of moder wicca) and Maxine Sanders. Wicca has a format of creating sacred space, consecrations, calling 4 elements, energy raising, then invoking Horned Good & moon Goddesses, followed by ritual magic! Wiccans celebrate the 13 full moons (esbats) and the 8-fold seasonal sabats - Imbolc, Spring, Beltane, Midsummer, Lammas, Autumn, Samhain, Yule.

About the Organiser :
