Details
So what's it really like to be an Author working with your Agent and Editor to get your book finished, edited and promoted and on sale with a major publishing house? How fast it it? Who's involved? How involved are they?
We'll hear from Cesca, Clare and Louise on how the publishing process works, what it's like and what skills you need to have ready. Come along and meet them and ask whatever you most want to know.

Cesca studied History at Bristol University and went on to work in television as a runner, researcher and presenter. She taught History for seven years and became a Housemistress at a Secondary boarding School in Berkshire. She has written numerous short stories and writes rom coms under a pseudonym.
She films weekly vlogs to help writers over at the Writers & Artists and The Silent Hours is her first novel, published July 2015 by Corvus, an imprint of Atlantic Books. You can find her walking along a river in Pangbourne, watching Box Sets with her husband, or on Twitter @CescaWrites.

Clare joined the Darley Anderson Agency in January 2011, heading up the rights department before becoming a literary agent. Clare is scouting for new talent and is looking for commercial and accessible literary general fiction and all types of women’s fiction. Clare is also building the children’s list and is looking for new children's authors and illustrators.
At the Agency Clare represents authors both in the UK and the US including Rosie Blake, Caroline Crowe, Kerry Fisher, Martyn Ford, Polly Ho-Yen, Cesca Major, Beth Reekles, Dave Rudden and Kim Slater.

Louise Cullen is an editor for Corvus (http://atlantic-books.co.uk/archives/all/corvus), the commercial fiction imprint of Atlantic Books. After a number of years working in the travel industry and then the civil service Louise took up an editorial role at Atlantic Books. Louise worked on both fiction and non-fiction for the company for two years before joining the editorial team at Constable & Robinson. In 2014 she returned to Atlantic Books to work on the Corvus list, acquiring women’s fiction, romance and crime and thriller novels.

Location: The Shooting Star is less than 5mins walk from Liverpool Street station, on the central Line.
Directions: Take the Bishopsgate exit from the main rail concourse, cross the road, turn right at Dirty Dicks pub onto Middlesex Street. The pub is about 100 metres down on the right-hand side and we meet in the function room downstairs.
