Hi, I’m Kimberly, a local Realtor, 10-year Long Beach resident, and Head Explorer of The LB Edge. I started this group 3 years ago because even after living here for years, I realized there were still so many spots, experiences, and hidden gems I had not tried. I wanted to build a group for people who actually want to get out, do interesting things, and make real connections in the process.
The LB Edge is for adults who want more than just another generic meetup. This group is about unique local experiences, good conversation, and meeting people who are fun, social, and genuinely interested in exploring the city.
We focus on events that feel engaging, memorable, and worth leaving the house for. Sometimes that means trying a new spot, doing something a little different, or pairing one experience with another. The point is not just to attend something. It is to connect while doing it.
Events start with a quick Fun Fact Circle to break the ice and make meeting people easier.
Who: Adults ( 18 + only) who want to explore Long Beach, try new things, and meet other social, curious people. This group will probably feel like a good fit if you like good conversation, a little adventure, and doing something more interesting than sitting at home scrolling.
What: Unique and engaging experiences in Long Beach and nearby areas. Some events are active, some are relaxed, some are quirky, and some are just a great excuse to finally check out that place you have been meaning to try. We do all kinds of events! Beach outings, skating, yoga, tourist attractions, trivia, music, museums and aquariums, bingo, movies, axe throwing, full moon walks, and more!
Where: Mostly Long Beach, with occasional outings nearby.
When: Events are for the most part weekly and have between 15-60 attendees! Most events happen on weeknights, with some weekend events mixed in.
What to Expect: A group that values connection, curiosity, and actually interacting. This is not about showing up and standing around awkwardly. It is about having a shared experience that makes conversation easier and friendships more likely to happen.
*Please note that since many of these events have a limited number of spots, those who no-show to 3 or more events will be removed from the group. This helps keep spots open for people who genuinely want to attend.
The best way to get to know people here is simple: come regularly.

45 Min Sunrise 🌅 Morning Walk 🚶♀️🚶 at the Beach 🌊
Galaxy Towers, 2999 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA, USLet’s start the day with friends, fresh air, and a beautiful ocean view. 🌊☀️ This is a feel-good morning walk where we’ll take in the scenery, get a little nature time, and ease into the day with good company. We’ll walk at a comfortable, steady pace and cover about 2 miles in around an hour, a nice start to your morning.
We’ll do quick get-to-know-you intros for the first 5 minutes (up to 10 minutes if we have a bigger group), then we’ll head out no later than 7:05–7:10 AM. Yes, 7 AM — please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.
We’ll walk on the sand by the water if conditions allow. If the tide makes the sand too soft, we’ll switch to the path, but we’ll try for the water’s edge first.
Come for the ocean view, and the chance to meet some great people. 👟🌿
Meet-up spot: On the grass, next to the Galaxy Towers at the corner of Orizaba Ave & Ocean Blvd
Parking: Street parking on Ocean, plus plenty of neighborhood street parking nearby (around 1st & Orizaba)

Whether you’re a full-blown boba person or you’ve always wondered, “What even is boba and why is everyone obsessed with it?” this is the perfect low-pressure night to try it.
We’ll meet at 7/7:15 PM and check out the menu together. https://www.krakboba.com/menu They have a pretty extensive lineup, including specialty milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, coffee drinks, and plenty of options if you’re new and need help figuring out what to order.
And because chaos loves convenience, there’s a Five Below right next door. So if the group is feeling shoppy afterward, we can wander over and shop for completely unnecessary treasures like fake Squishmallows, inflatable couches, weird candy, phone chargers, or whatever random thing suddenly feels life-changing for $5. We could even vote on who buys the most ridiculous item.
Come for the boba, stay for the good company, and maybe leave with a drink you love and a ridiculous item from 5 Below.
No boba experience required. Just show up, grab a drink, and hang out.What to wear: you might be outside for part of this event as seating is limited.

Nibbles🍴and New Friends at the Hangar ✈️ - 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY
The Hangar Food Hall, 4150 McGowen St, Long Beach, CA, USThree years! Can you believe it?
This group has gone through a lot of changes over the past three years, but one thing has stayed the same: awesome people keep showing up.
Come help me celebrate three years of Meetup with good food, good conversation, and hopefully a few familiar faces mixed with some new ones.
We’ll meet at the outside tables near 908, just like in the cover picture. It may be a little tricky to find us, so here’s the best way to locate the group: we’ll be on the McGowen St. side of The Hangar, not the Cover St. side, closest to the 908 restaurant area.
Once you check in, you can wander inside and choose from the different food options, then come back out and join us to eat. There are 14 different food choices, so everyone should be able to find something they like.
We will not have a reserved area, so we’ll work together to pull tables and sit as a group. Please be flexible, friendly, and ready to help us make it work.
