Hi, I’m Kimberly, a local Realtor, 10-year Long Beach resident, and Head Explorer of The LB Edge. I started this group 3 years ago because even after living here for years, I realized there were still so many spots, experiences, and hidden gems I had not tried. I wanted to build a group for people who actually want to get out, do interesting things, and make real connections in the process.
The LB Edge is for adults who want more than just another generic meetup. This group is about unique local experiences, good conversation, and meeting people who are fun, social, and genuinely interested in exploring the city.
We focus on events that feel engaging, memorable, and worth leaving the house for. Sometimes that means trying a new spot, doing something a little different, or pairing one experience with another. The point is not just to attend something. It is to connect while doing it.
Events start with a quick Fun Fact Circle to break the ice and make meeting people easier.
Who: Adults ( 18 + only) who want to explore Long Beach, try new things, and meet other social, curious people. This group will probably feel like a good fit if you like good conversation, a little adventure, and doing something more interesting than sitting at home scrolling.
What: Unique and engaging experiences in Long Beach and nearby areas. Some events are active, some are relaxed, some are quirky, and some are just a great excuse to finally check out that place you have been meaning to try. We do all kinds of events! Beach outings, skating, yoga, tourist attractions, trivia, music, museums and aquariums, bingo, movies, axe throwing, full moon walks, and more!
Where: Mostly Long Beach, with occasional outings nearby.
When: Events are for the most part weekly and have between 15-60 attendees! Most events happen on weeknights, with some weekend events mixed in.
What to Expect: A group that values connection, curiosity, and actually interacting. This is not about showing up and standing around awkwardly. It is about having a shared experience that makes conversation easier and friendships more likely to happen.
*Please note that since many of these events have a limited number of spots, those who no-show to 3 or more events will be removed from the group. This helps keep spots open for people who genuinely want to attend.
The best way to get to know people here is simple: come regularly.

45 Min Sunrise 🌅 Morning Walk 🚶♀️🚶 at the Beach 🌊
Galaxy Towers, 2999 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA, USLet’s start the day with friends, fresh air, and an ocean view. 🌊☀️ This is a feel-good morning walk where we’ll take in the scenery, get a little nature time, and ease into the day with good company. We’ll walk at a comfortable, steady pace and cover about 2 miles in around an hour.
We’ll do quick get-to-know-you intros for the first 5 minutes (up to 10 minutes if we have a bigger group), then we’ll head out no later than 7:05–7:10 AM. Yes, 7 AM! Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.
We’ll walk on the sand by the water if conditions allow. If the tide makes the sand too soft, we’ll switch to the path, but we’ll try for the water’s edge first.
Come for the ocean view, and the chance to meet some great people. 👟🌿
Sidenote, dogs are technically not allowed on the beach where we walk, but if you want to bring your dog, I have no problem with it. But if you get a ticket, you can't blame me! I usually bring my dog. 🐶

Bubble Soccer ⚽️ on the Beach ⛱️🌊 - No Experience Needed!
Monty’s Dog Beach & Bar, 5098 E Ocean BLVD,, Long Beach, CA, USIf all the World Cup action has you yearning to hear someone yell “GOOOOOAAAAAL” while you run across the sand, this one is for you.
We’re teaming up with David’s group, Living LA and OC, for a Bubble Soccer Beach Day right next to Monty’s. Get ready to crash, bounce, roll, run, laugh, and crash again in a ridiculous, hilarious, and surprisingly intense game of bubble soccer.
You’ll be soaking up the beach views while watching your teammates bounce around like human beach balls. And no, you do not need to know how to play soccer. We may attempt a little actual soccer, but we’ll also be playing other games, including Last Man Standing, which already sounds worth the price of admission.
We’ll have the play area for two hours, but you will not be in a bubble the whole time. Bubble soccer is exhausting, and most people only play for about 5–15 minutes at a time, so we’ll be rotating players in and out throughout the event. You can play, rest, hydrate, laugh at everyone else, and jump back in when you’re ready.
The cost to play is $28 per person, and you must RSVP and pay in advance if you want to participate.
Spectators are welcome and do not need to pay or officially sign up. Bring your squad, or just meet us down there if you want to watch and are not quite ready to play. We’ll have different wristbands for players and spectators so we can keep track of who is playing.
We’ll have water, drinks, oranges, and other goodies for the players. We’ll also have music and two refs to help keep everything moving.
After the games, anyone who wants to keep hanging out can walk over to Monty’s for food, drinks, and some well-earned recovery time.

Open to anyone 18 and up. Even though soccer is in the name, you do not need soccer skills to join. Please know this is a physically demanding activity. We’ll have more people than bubbles, so there will be plenty of time to rest, but it will be intense. The owner says 20 minutes in the ball can feel like an hour of cardio.WHERE:

Dress like you are working out on the beach. Bring water, and feel free to bring your own food or drinks. You may also want to bring a chair or towel so you have somewhere to sit while you rest. Spectators should bring the same.This should be an amazing beach event, a great Instagram moment, and a ton of fun. Come ready to move, laugh, and possibly get knocked over in the least graceful way possible.

🤣 Human Bumper Balls! Beach Games, Laughs & Good Times

Climb into a giant inflatable bubble, bounce into your friends, roll across the sand, and discover why this might be the funniest thing you'll do all summer.
We're teaming up with David's group, Living LA and OC, for an afternoon of giant bubble games on the beach right next to Monty's.Even though people often call it Bubble Soccer, you don't need to know anything about soccer. Think human bumper cars with a beach view.
We'll be playing a variety of silly games, including Last Man Standing, relay-style challenges, and other hilarious activities that are guaranteed to have everyone laughing, whether you're inside a bubble or cheering from the sidelines.Everyone plays in short rounds, so you'll have plenty of time to catch your breath, grab a drink, laugh at everyone else's spectacular wipeouts, and jump back in when you're ready.
The cost to play is $28 per person, and you'll need to RSVP and pay in advance to reserve your spot.
