Hello!

Welcome to the seventeenth meeting of the Page Turners Anonymous book club! We are a super laid back book club focusing on unconventional books (Idk what this means but it sure doesn't mean the normal books you would read at any other book club!). For our seventeenth meeting we are going back to the 80s! , My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix.

What would you do if your best friend was suddenly possessed? I sure as hell wouldn't know what to do! So lets learn from this book! I am looking forward to discuss this amazing book from the one and only Grady Hendrix.

I want to emphasize that this is not a very high-stakes book club. What I mean by that is that I do not expect a doctoral thesis about the themes and symbology of the book. I just want you to focus on your favorite characters, scenes, and how you related to the book. This does not mean you can skate on by not reading the book. You are still expected to both contribute to the discussion and socialize with the other members. I think socialization and making friends with each other is the keystone to a good book club more so than the books.

We are going to meet at Ambitious Ales. They have an incredible selection of food and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) provided by a huge variety of restaurants! I will reserve a seat for everyone. Please do try to arrive on time as it would make the discussion easier. I will get some pizzas from Thunderbolt Pizza!

Everyone is welcomed here! All I ask is that you are kind and respectful to others. Again, the foundation to a good book club are its members. So please lets just treat each other like good friends. You may be asked to leave the club if you do not follow these stipulations.

Note: Since this is a new meetup group we are capped at 10 attendees. So please honor your RSVP. A book club cannot thrive without active members. For our eighteenth meeting we are going to be discussing the hit 2025 novel, The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones

I have heard a ton of great things about Stephen Graham Jones but have yet to read a single one of his works! Will we like this book? Will we end up hating it? Who knows! But we are going to find out together!
