Memorial Day Weekend hike: Shady Canyon/Quail Hill, Irvine!

Hi folks,

Thank you for your patience—here are the details for this coming weekend’s hike gathering!

I decided to go with the easy option for parking and gathering:
Meet at the Quail Hill parking lot.

Get off of the 405 freeway at Sand Canyon. Turn right (west) and follow the road around the small roundabout. There’s a parking lot there and the start of the hiking trail.
Am looking for an address, but it doesn’t seem to have one. Ah! Here it is: 34 Shady Canyon Drive, Irvine.

This is the same general area as Shady Canyon and Turtle Rock.

My plan is to gather there in the morning and start meandering up the trail. My understanding is that there may be some mild to moderate hills.

The same precautions apply as always:
Bring hat, sunscreen, plenty of water **and drink it**
Stay on trails! No need to risk falls, ticks, snake bites—or to damage the sensitive habitat.
Dress for hiking
Know your physical limitations! Every individual is responsible for their OWN safety.
Bring cell phone and snacks, anything you need to stay safe and comfortable.

I do NOT have access to the MeetUp app once I leave my house to drive for the hike.
