What we’re about

This group is made for people who like to walk, and consider/want to experience walking as a sport. It is a great way to motivate yourself to start a walking program or to give yourself and your fitness a new boost of energy.

Keep in mind that Long distance walking isn’t quite the same as hiking. For one thing, many long distance walkers simply go for one long walk that lasts a day and comes in all kind of range ( 20, 30, 40, 50, 60km a day.. with some event challenging you on 100 km in 36 hours). It take place in urban and nature environment, and most of the both at the same time. 

The goal is to work on your endurance; It is not as physically daunting as, say, running a marathon, but does test your physical abilities. It is open to everyone who want to try, or looking for people to walk with.
Come join us to try a new approach on sport, try something new, while exploring Stockholm and its surrounding.

The idea at this stage is to have an entry /beginner walk of 20km walk every other week,  and a longer one (40km) every two months... and then we will see how things goes ! 

It is a new group, and it just started... So please contact and help me to build this group. There will be events announced soon!

requirement:
- You need to be able to walk at a descent pace... this is a sport :)
