On Monday Oct. 6, the first supermoon of 2025 will rise big and bright (6:15 pm MT) into the autumn sky. Dubbed the Harvest Moon — one of the most famous full moons of the year — it is the first full moon of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere, traditionally used to mark the end of the harvest season. Let’s celebrate this celestial and earthly event together with a community walk at Lake Macintosh.
A walk is another way to connect with nature and other community members. All ages and fitness levels are encouraged. Well behaved pets are allowed on a hand-held leash.
How to prepare: Bring your essentials to your needs that may include a comfortable pair of shoes, cleats, clothing for appropriate weather, water, hat, sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses, headlamp. Parking is available in the parking lot and on the street.
