Welcome to the Long Trail Running Club! Our goal is to provide a welcoming inclusive running community to the greater Burlington area.

Code of Conduct:

This code outlines how we treat each other in our run club community.

We are an inclusive group where all runners deserve to feel respected regardless of identity or background.

Harassment of any kind is not tolerated (including verbal, physical, or sexual).
Respect others’ stated boundaries.

Safety is a priority.
Please drink responsibly and practice good running and road etiquette toward fellow runners, pedestrians, cyclists, and neighbors.
Wear reflective gear or lights when appropriate.

Procedure for Conduct Concerns

Any runner who experiences or witnesses a conduct violation can report it to a designated point person (see below), the event leader, or the leadership email: longtrailleadershipteam@gmail.com

Reports may be made verbally, through Meetup, or by email.

The “leadership team” refers to an informal group of event leaders and point people. If you prefer your report to remain within a smaller group of point people/event leaders, please indicate that when sharing your concern.

First violations will receive a written warning via Meetup DM or admin email (except in cases involving safety concerns).

Subsequent violations will be reviewed by the leadership team (protecting the reporting person’s information if requested). The violating member may be banned.

If a situation presents an urgent safety concern, the individual may be banned immediately.

Point Person Description

Volunteer Point People are designated members of LTRC who serve as approachable contacts for safety concerns, questions, and feedback, and help address issues in line with this code of conduct.

Point people will identify themselves during the opening circle.
