The Grassi Lakes Trail near Canmore, Alberta, is a popular, relatively short hike (around 4.3 km out-and-back) with two route options to access the stunning, clear Grassi Lakes: a gradual, forest-lined "easy" road (Grassi Lake Upper Trail) and a steeper, more scenic "hard" trail with stairs and a waterfall (Grassi Lakes Interpretive Trail). The hike is suitable for various skill levels, though the interpretive trail requires more effort and can be icy in winter, leading to a closure of that portion of the trail during the colder months. A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park and hike the trail.
