Why not join us for a leisurely hike from Santa Monica Beach to Will Rogers State Beach?

ITINERARY:

1. Meeting location and time:

2. We can set out on the hike from Santa Monica State Beach towards Will Rogers State Beach along the Ocean Front Walk path.

Activities:

-a. Walk from Soda Jerks Ice Cream Shoppe to Santa Monica State Beach
a. Walk from Santa Monica State Beach to Sorrento Beach passing the North Beach Playground; view the Pacific Ocean and activity along the beach along with the architecture of the
various buildings along the coast.
b. Walk from Sorrento Beach to Annenberg Community Beach House to review the architecture of the facility
c. Walk from Annenberg Community Beach House to Ginger Rogers State Beach
d. Walk from Ginger Rogers State Beach to Will Rogers State Beach
e. Break to rest, enjoy a snack, continue to mingle and socialize
f. Hike from Will Rogers State Beach back to Santa Monica State Beach and Soda Jerks Ice Cream Shoppe to conclude the hike.

The Meetup members may choose to enjoy a delicious ice cream treat from the Soda Jerks Ice Cream Shoppe before the hike, after the hike, or BOTH!!!

Please bring enough water for approximately a 2-mile LEVEL hike along the Ocean Front Walk path, a pair of comfortable walking shoes, and some snack items to consume during the hike.

This hike is not meant to exhaust the Meetup members; it is just a light, easy hike to enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean, review the architecture of the buildings along the coast, get some exercises, mingle, socialize, and get to know the other Meetup members.

Marking its 30th anniversary, the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance will celebrate the theme “Luxury in Motion” with an unparalleled lineup of rare hypercars, vintage classics and exotic vehicles in Beverly Hills on Sunday, June 15. The ultimate Father’s Day event will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to attend.

Presented by O’Gara Coach Beverly Hills, the 2025 Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance will showcase an impressive lineup of world–class vintage, racing and bespoke vehicles. O’Gara’s display, which will cover a whole city block, will be packed with the rarest supercars and hypercars, from McLaren, Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Pagani, Bentley, and others, alongside the North American public debut of Lamborghini’s latest models, the Temerario and PHEV Urus SE.

The display will also feature bespoke merchandise from these brands.

and enjoy luxury shopping and fine dining, all just steps away from the heart of the car show.

In addition to incredible cars, this special day will feature a skills demonstration from the Beverly Hills Police Department Motor Unit,

There is FREE PARKING on Sundays in the vicinity of Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Blvd. Just look for street signs that state no restriction on parking on Sundays (Charleville Drive and Wilshire Blvd. is a location I have used before.

I did not get ticketed for parking along Charleville Drive and Wilshire Blvd. near Rodeo Drive in past Meetup events for the Beverly Hills Car Show.

Activities:

The Venice Fest, a cornerstone of Southern California’s cultural scene, has announced its 2025 event dates, promising three, one-day celebrations designed to bring the community together through art, music, and local business support.

The festival, which takes place on Venice Boulevard in downtown Mar Vista, will kick off with Venice Love Fest on March 22, followed by Venice Summer Fest on June 21, and concluding with Venice Winter Fest on November 22.

Each event showcases live music, artisan vendors, food, and interactive experiences aimed at fostering a sense of unity and creativity within the community.

Organizers describe Venice Fest as “more than just an event—it’s a reflection of the community’s heart and soul.” Spanning four blocks, the festival features over 400 artists, brands, and designers, as well as live entertainment on three stages.

With hands-on art workshops, food from local vendors, and
immersive cultural activities, each festival draws an estimated 100,000 attendees.

“Our goal is to spread good vibes and highlight the importance of supporting local businesses, artists, and creatives,” organizers said.

“Through shared experiences, we create a space where the community can connect, celebrate, and uplift one another.”

Venice Fest is free to attend and open to all ages. The event is also pet-friendly, encouraging attendees to bring their furry companions
along for the festivities.

Free street parking is available on nearby side streets, though organizers recommend using rideshare services for convenience.

A portion of the festival’s efforts support local non-profit partner Nourish LA, an organization focused on fighting hunger, preventing food waste,
and ensuring food security for Angelenos in need.
