HOW TO USE LINKEDIN WORKSHOP

AGENDA
Please join us to learn how to find a job on LinkedIn. We will offer a tutorial to teach network-based job search on LinkedIn to jobseekers and those of you seeking support as you navigate your careers. The curriculum also includes a LinkedIn checklist Checklist to be used as a follow-along during the workshop or a self-serice handout.
OBJECTIVE
This workshop aims to show participants how to use LinkedIn to connect to job opportunities. By the end of the workshop, each participant will
- Have a profile that is optimized for job search
- Know how to build a LinkedIn network that can open doors, and
- Have found at least one job they are interested in on LinkedIn.
The material in this workshop is intended to be accessible at the
introductory level, including individuals who are not yet LinkedIn members.
Current LinkedIn members will also benefit from attending this workshop as it includes new features designed specifically for jobseekers as well as tips on how to optimize their profile for job search.
PRE-REQUISITES TO ATTEND THE WORKSHOP
Each participant must have:
1.- An email account.
2.- A mobile phone so they can download and install the LinkedIn and
LinkedIn Job Search mobile apps.
LEARNING GOALS
During the workshop, participants will learn how to:
1.- Create a LinkedIn account
2.- Build a LinkedIn profile that attracts employers
3.- Build a professional network on LinkedIn to connect to job
opportunities
4.- Search and apply for a job on LinkedIn
5.- Access additional job search and career advancement resources on
LinkedIn
