NOTE: CHANGE IN PARKING LOCATION FOR START OF HIKE

PARK ON DON LORENZO DRIVE, WHICH IS LOCATED OFF OF LA BREA AVENUE

GPS SEARCH LOCATION: "4851 Don Lorenzo Drive, Los Angeles" or

N 34.00086 W 118.35876

Take 2 hours EVERY MONDAY--we get a 360 degree view from Downtown L.A. to Malibu to Palos Verdes and can watch the sunset.

WHEN: 6:00 to 8 pm, which is when the rangers start telling us to go home.

MEET: Lots of cool people

MEET WHERE?: at the Kenneth Hahn park--at the top of the Baldwin Hills.

DIFFICULTY: Easy, then hard in the middle, with 200 feet elevation gain on a steep, but short trail. Then we do more civilized relatively level trails, but there will be a 2 or 3 more short steep climbs later.

Lots of restrooms and water fountains.

PARKING: free.

DOGS: are allowed in the park on a leash

BRING HEADLAMP OR FLASHLIGHT, WATER, COMFORTABLE SHOES, MAYBE A HAT IF IT'S HOT...
