JohnHenge rock climbing (no ropes) followed by Mount Waterman Loop hike

MEET AT 10:15 AM AT NEWCOMB'S RANCH RESTAURANT PARKING LOT, ABOUT 30 MILES NORTH OF LA CANADA ON THE ANGELES CREST HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 2)
If you do not have a $5 National Forest Adventure Pass--they can be purchased at Newcomb's Ranch. The Adventure pass is required if you park your car in the National Forest.
We will car-convoy 3 miles north of Newcomb's and park next to a Forest Service restroom on the right side of the road.
PART 1:
10:30 am: HIKE STARTS: rock scrambling on ridge above the Angeles Crest Highway to the 5 collections of granite rock formations that tower above the road. 200 feet elevation gain and about 2 miles. NO ROPES ARE NEEDED, WE'RE NOT DOING ANYTHING TOO WILD HERE! All Rock Scrambling is Optional!!
Eat lunch on top of the rocks
(trivia: JohnHenge is either named after the national forest restroom you park next to, or that John guy, who discovered them)

2 pm: move cars to Buckhorn Day Use area parking for 6 mile loop hike up Mount Waterman--1250 feet elevation gain, combination of single track trail on the way up and a wide fire road on the way down. Lots of pine trees
