I'm fat, lets hike

Distance: 7.5 miles round trip

Elevation: 1600ff

elevationgain: 900 ft

Difficulty: 6/10

Duration: 3 Hours (approx)

The vista from the Parker Mesa Overlook is stunning. You can see all of the LA basin laid out before you, the snow capped San Gabriel Mountains to the north, Catalina Island to the south, and the crescent shaped coastline of Santa Monica to the east.

Bring tons of water, a hat, sunscreen

Dogs are not allowed on these trails.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Flabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Flabflab bird, and shun
The frumious Blubersnatch!"

He took his vorpal fork in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Flabberwock, with belly of flame,
Came waddling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal fork went snicker-snack!
He left it hungry, and with out lunch
He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou starved the Flabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O flabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

Hello all...won't be able to attend but if you like the poem above, look for the works of Edward Lear... The Pelican Chorus & The Quangle Wangles Hat or The Courtship of the Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo

    Help me please LA hikers!

I have a friend in town that really wants to do this hike she has heard about off Mullholland drive and PCH. Apparently last time she was here she looked for the entrance and never managed to find it. Apparently it feels like you are trespassing (but your not).

Anyone have an idea of which hike she may be talking about?

    Thanks

    Kris

I wonder how many people know the poem you shared is Jabberwocky from "Through the looking glass" by Lewis Carroll. I can't do this hike but look forward to meeting you on the next one. How about you title the next hike "I never want to be fat again so let's keep hiking" It would be flabjous to see a Blubersnatch galumphing across the trail.
