End of 24 May update---------------------------------------------------------

Update as of 30 Apr 2011---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last call. This trip is fast approaching and there are still a few openings left. So book before it becomes to late

As of 13 April, 16 of the 28 openings are paid so there are only 12 spots left with 2 months to go. So I recommend you book early to save flight costs be sure you have a spot on the raft.

We are very, very lucky that this trip is even availble as most of these trips of a lifetime with all companies are sold out for the entire 2011 season already. I have worked out a special group discount of $1950 per person. The single person price is $2,400.per person. The Grand Canyon is rated by most organizations as the NUMBER 1 NATURAL WONDER OF HE WORLD. One out of of every 100 visitors to the Grand Canyon ever make down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and the Colorado river. The price is a deeply discounted group rate. Included in the cost are the first night motel at Marble Canyon Lodge , a helicopter ride out of the Grand Canyon (like awesome), an airplane ride from the ranch back to Las Vegas or Marble Canyon depending how you arranged your transportation. Included are expert raft guides who do all the cooking while you enjoy the Grand Canyon. Also provided are all the camping, food and cooking stuff. It costs money to have 4 or 5 expert guides keep you safe on the river, and cook for you for 7 days and nights. Keep in mind these are very large 14 person rafts with motors. These are not small rafts with oar power. Also with a 7 day 7 night trip there will be many beautiful hiking opportunities at many of the river stops. You get wet enough from the rapids to keep you cool. Alcohol is not provided. So if you want to bring the happy juice, bring it with you or ask where you can buy it when you book. It is not easily available in the Grand Canyon due to park rules. So I recommend u bring it with u.

Itinerary and Information for the 7 Day and 7 Night Grand Canyon Whitewater Rafting Trip June 10-17, 2011

JUNE 10, 2011 - THE DAY BEFORE THE RIVER TRIP BEGINS-

Upon arrival in Marble Canyon we will proceed to check into the Marble Canyon Lodge. The night at Marble Canyon Lodge is included in the trip cost. It is important that you discuss room configuration with your GCW reservation agent so the proper rooms can be pre-booked.

JUNE 11, 2011 - THE MORNING OF THE RIVER TRIP -

At 7:30 a.m. all passengers will gather at the building across the highway from Marble Canyon Lodge to meet the river guides. The guides will be there to answer questions as to what things you will need accessible during the day as you pack the rest of your gear into our waterproof bags. If your bag is small enough (approximately 24”x12”x12”) it will fit into our bag as-is. Otherwise, you may have to do some re-packing into our bags. After the orientation we will take you by van, 6 miles, to the launch point at Lee’s Ferry.

JUNE 11-16 - You will be traveling 187 river miles on your river journey through the world famous Grand Canyon. Each day will consist of rapids, a lunch stop, exploration of the Canyon with mid-morning and mid-afternoon stops or hikes, and admiring the beauty of the canyon. Each day will be completed with your evening stop for camp, a river cooked meal, such as steak, potatoes, corn and a salad or salmon, broccoli, a salad and wild rice, and a restful night under a western sky.

JUNE 17 – THE LAST DAY - The river portion of your trip will end early morning at Whitmore Wash. A scenic, 8-minute helicopter ride (included in the price) will take you from the river to the Bar 10 Ranch. There are showers at the ranch for your convenience. Lunch will be provided at the Bar 10 Ranch. A charter flight, included in the price, from the ranch will return you to your starting point or Vegas arriving around 2:00 p.m. (You will need to show your picture I.D. at the ranch before your flight). If you are returning to Las Vegas, transportation will then be provided to the main Las Vegas airport terminal (McCarran Airport). Flight arrangements out of Las Vegas back home should not be scheduled before 4:30 PM on this final day.
