Vasquez rocks monkeying around-lots of rock scrambling, some hiking

We will be hiking on a trail for short stretches and rock scrambling along the long hog-back rocky ridges that run the length of the park. So expect to use your hands a lot.

TOTAL HIKE LENGTH at Vasquez....6 or 7 miles

EXPECT LOTS OF ROCK HOPPING OPPORTUNITIES!

and Uphill climbs of 200 to 300 feet a few times...

and Lots of photo opportunities

PARKING: FREE....(see picture below) DRIVE INTO PARK ABOUT 1/2 MILE TO THE THIRD LOT BY THESE ROCKS, WE WILL MEET HERE; THERE ARE A FEW PORTA-POTTIES HERE ON THE SOUTH END OF THE LOT

Bring lunch, clothing (sorry, nude hikes are a different Meetup group), lots of water--4 liters, (1 liter per hour), hat, comfy shoes, snacks, guitar, all your troubles..., camera, etc
