IF YOU'VE HIKED AND CLIMBED JOSHUA TREE'S WONDERLAND OF ROCKS, YOU'LL LOVE THIS NEW TRAIL!!!
I have not led this route before because IT DID NOT EXIST until the week before Christmas. This trail is a rocky staircase with lots of sandstone towers and boulders to climb. I pruned the brush back on the route over the last month, and it is really fun. We will be hiking in a circle around South Mount Rexmore. There will be lots of stops to play and enjoy the views of the San Fernando and Simi Valleys.
DIFFICULTY: at least medium, maybe harder. NOT FOR BEGINNERS!!!
ELEVATION GAIN: maybe 500 feet
HIKE LENGTH: about 3 miles, maybe, I don't really know, it is a total mystery to me
THERE MIGHT BE SOME POISON OAK, MAYBE, but you will have to look hard for it because I cleared away all I could see.
SO WEAR LONG HIKING PANTS AND SHIRT IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. BRING LEATHER GLOVES TO HELP GRIP THE ROCKS IF YOU WANNA
