Wildflower season at Mt Rexmore loop in Chatsworth, Rock playground

IF YOU'VE HIKED AND CLIMBED JOSHUA TREE'S WONDERLAND OF ROCKS, YOU'LL LOVE THIS NEW TRAIL!!!.

This trail is a rocky staircase with lots of sandstone towers and boulders to climb. I pruned the poison oak back on the route since our first hike on the new loop trail January 1st, and it is really fun. We will be hiking in a circle around South Mount Rexmore. There will be lots of stops to play and enjoy the views of the San Fernando and Simi Valleys.

DIFFICULTY: at least medium, maybe harder. NOT FOR BEGINNERS!!!

ELEVATION GAIN: maybe 500 feet

HIKE LENGTH: about 3 miles, maybe, I don't really know, it is a total mystery to me

THERE MIGHT BE SOME POISON OAK, MAYBE,
SO WEAR LONG HIKING PANTS AND SHIRT IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. BRING LEATHER GLOVES TO HELP GRIP THE ROCKS IF YOU WANNA

THE STORY: I donated some cash to the non-profit group which I run and we bought this 118 acre collection of rocks, trails and two peaks in late 2013.... So why did I name it Mt. Rexmore? Because I can.

And everyone must sign a liability waiver....yup, Damn lawyers, because Mt. Rexmore is private property, and it does not have the automatic liability immunity which public parks have.
